Glass Manufacturing for the Pharmaceutical Industry

Since 2016, we have been developing and manufacturing annealing furnaces for glass in close cooperation with Ambeg Dr. J. Dichter GmbH. Ambeg is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of machinery for the production of primary packaging made from tubular glass.

Our annealing furnaces are designed on a project-specific basis and adapted to the respective production requirements. The conveyor system can be configured with one or two lanes to flexibly adapt to the production speed of the upstream molding machines.

Different conveyor systems are used depending on the application. A proven solution is the patented conveyor system, in which the glass products are transported horizontally through the furnace. It enables precise positioning and ensures that the products can be loaded and unloaded safely and gently.

Alternatively, vertical transport is possible using conventional spiral wire conveyors. Here, too, low-vibration and position-accurate product transport is ensured. The quality of the transport is verified through so-called vial-walking tests.

The furnaces can be electrically or gas-heated. In both versions, precise control technology and optimized airflow ensure a uniform, reproducible temperature profile. The furnace’s heating zone is actively controlled in three zones, allowing the specified temperature profile to be precisely tracked in accordance with the so-called Schott curve.
